Overview
This incredible opportunity allows you to immerse yourself in the Spanish language, culture, and cuisine for one, two, or three months. Experience life like a local as you live with a carefully selected host family and become part of the community. In exchange for up to 15 hours of conversational English tutoring each week, you'll have plenty of free time to explore your new surroundings and connect with locals.
Fees
- This incredible opportunity costs a flat fee of $999 for 1, 2, or 3 months. To secure your spot, pay a $350 deposit when you apply.
- Once you approve the match with your host family, the Placement Fee of $500 will be due.
- 60 days before you leave for Spain, you will need to pay the final amount of $149.
Responsibilities
- Please make sure to arrive on time for your tutoring sessions with your host family.
- Spend up to 15 hours each week conversing in English with your host family and helping them improve their language skills.
- Please ensure that your private bedroom remains clean and organized.
- Please be considerate of your host family's schedule and obtain their permission before staying up late.
- Utilize our comprehensive A Tutor's Guide to design engaging and enjoyable lessons based on the plan you and the host family create together.
Requirements
- You must be 18 years old or older.
- Older participants will require more flexibility in terms of timing and placement, as some host families may have a preference for younger tutors. If you're over 30, we'll place you. But you must be extremely flexible on your travel dates.
- Native English speakers are preferred.
- Hold a high school diploma at a minimum.
