General Questions About Volunteer Abroad

You're in safe hands. Every aspect of every project is thoroughly screened.

We're here every step of the way, from when you apply to volunteer abroad to when you return. We're here now, we're there with you, and we're here when you come home.

Phones are answered by humans 24/7. Everyone associated with The Cultural Exchange Project, both here and abroad, is trained to assist you. It's a lot easier to travel with a purpose when the support is built in.

Every single volunteer project has been vetted and screened. No volunteer abroad project will ever be presented to you that we haven't checked out multiple times first. In many cases, we've had volunteers in that project many times before.

 

Program Benefits

Very clear start dates. Intakes all during the year.

Wide range of ages. 18 to 60+, depending on the country and project, is possible.

When you complete your volunteer abroad project, you leave a lifetime gift.

Location
Details
Volunteer for 3 months in a local school near Paris. Free room and board. Free metro pass. There are only two intakes per year: September and January. No degree required.
2 or 3 months. Native English speakers are preferred, but non-native speakers may also be considered. CEFR C1 and a clear accent will normally result in a placement.
1, 2, or 3 months. Placements are primarily in and around Madrid but also along the west coast of Spain.
2 weeks teaching English in a summer language camp. €300 "thank you" gift. Minimum age is 19.
4 or 8 weeks during the summer as an English teacher in a summer language camp. A degree is not required.
