Overview
Established in 2004, this summer camp welcomes children aged 9–17 from around the world to improve their English skills, make new friends, and enjoy an unforgettable summer experience.
Held at Varemurru Holiday Centre on Matsi Beach—just 60 km from Pärnu and 160 km from Tallinn—this camp offers daily English lessons (10:00–1:00) tailored to each child’s level, followed by fun afternoon and evening activities—all in English!
All teachers are native English speakers, specially selected to create a vibrant, supportive environment. Over the years, the camp has hosted campers from more than 15 countries, including Estonia, Italy, Japan, and the United States.
The camp is designed to build language skills, confidence, and global awareness through an international, inclusive experience full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories.
Fees
- $350 for the 2-week program.

Included
Although you will earn €150, this fee is considered a token of appreciation. This is a volunteer abroad project.
The fee you pay to volunteer in Estonia goes to our 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, The Cultural Exchange Project Foundation. The program donation for this experience covers:
- A shared room with other volunteers in same-sex rooms.
- Separate bathrooms and showers from the campers.
- Four meals per day.

The menu consists of dishes suitable for children, as recommended by the Estonian Education Department.

No junk food (so bring your own).
- Eastern European food.

Transport from Tallinn to the camp and back.
Not Included
- Flights.
- All meals when you are not at camp, such as when you're traveling to and from Estonia and any travel you may do before or after your camp experience.
- Accommodations before or after the program.
- Extra luggage fees.
- International insurance with 24-hour emergency assistance services for US permanent residents. (Available at an additional cost).
- International cellular plan.

Teacher Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a group of children during the camp. Teach English, but remember: this is not a traditional school setting.
Prepare lessons and create a lesson plan.
Lead an after-lesson activity, such as dancing, drawing, volleyball, etc. Organize events for the kids together with the team.Ensure your group is happy, getting along well with one another, and adhering to the schedule.
Most importantly, enjoy what you’re doing!

Teacher Age Restrictions
Whilst there are no hard and fast age restrictions for this volunteer program, most of the teachers range in age from 18 to 30.

Session One Details
Session 1: "To Be Active & Creative" (13.07 - 19.07.25)
This session is designed for those who love creativity, activity, and dynamic learning!
The primary goal is to develop spoken English through interactive methods, including role-playing games, projects, sports, and creative activities.Participants will have the opportunity to express themselves and improve their English skills in a friendly atmosphere. They will experience exciting challenges, games, and team competitions that will make their summer full of adventures and unforgettable moments!

Session One Schedule
The camp program is designed to consider the interests and age-specific characteristics of children. Participants are divided into age groups:
9–12 years and 13–17 years
Each group follows a separate daily schedule tailored to their interests and needs. Evening activities bring all participants together, creating a warm atmosphere of friendship and unity.
English lessons are structured based on students' language proficiency. Upon arrival, each student takes a placement test to determine their current language level, after which they are assigned to appropriate groups.
English lessons cover all aspects of language learning, including reading, listening, grammar, and speaking. Special attention is given to developing communication skills.
All daily and evening activities are conducted in English, helping participants overcome language barriers and enhance their speaking skills more quickly
We also encourage children to use English in everyday conversations, creating a friendly language environment where everyone can practice and gain confidence.

Session Two Details
Session 2: "Future Skills & Success" (20.07-26.07.25)
This session is designed for those who want to develop key skills for the future: communication, creativity, critical thinking, leadership, and digital literacy. Every lesson and activity helps students build confidence in English and prepare for a successful future!
Participants will solve interesting challenges, learn to work in a team, express their opinions, and develop public speaking skills. Through interactive tasks, they will explore future professions, understand which skills will be important, and learn how to apply their ideas in practice.
Older children (13–17 years old) will participate in business simulations, debates, real-case problem-solving, and role-playing activities, while younger participants (8–12 years old) will enjoy creative projects, team-based tasks, and educational games.

Background Checks
As you work with children, we need to conduct a background check.
If you are from the United States, this background check is conducted for you at no charge.
If you are from one of the other five countries, you will need to undergo a background check and have the results added to your materials during the application process at your own expense.

Accommodation and Meals
You will be sharing a room with other volunteers in same sex rooms.
Sharing bathroom/shower with other volunteers. Kids have their own bathroom/shower facilities.4 meals per day
We try to accommodate everyone's dietary restrictions BUT in general there is one set menu!!!
