How do I request a refund?
It's simple. Email us and tell us you're having "buyers remorse" and would like your Happiness Refund. We'll reach out to you personally to let you know that we got the request and we're happy to process it.
Why 48 hours?
Great question! As I'm sure you've seen, in the travel industry, you can't get a refund. Not for airfare, hotel or other travel expenses. You can only get a credit you can use in the next 12-months.
Since we understand that traveling with a purpose has a learning curve of its own, we want to make sure you have ample time to figure out your next steps and understand how everything is going to work.
In our opinion, 48 hours after you pay your program deposit is totally fair.
How long does the refund take?
We'll typically process the refund request within 48 - 72 business hours. Once we process the refund through Stripe or PayPal, it can take 5-10 days to get added back to your credit card.
Will you try to dissuade me?
The short answer is no. Not at all. We want you to be happy.
However, if we can help correct an issue or better illustrate how to make this adventure abroad work for you, that may be a win-win for both of us. We can change countries, timing, some requirements you may have, and we have great payment plans through Klarna to help you fit the fee into your budget.

The chances that you'll request a refund after talking to our staff as much as you like before applying, and then registering and filling out your application is super slim. In fact, on average, it happens twice each year.
